Laid-Back Camp -Virtual- Can Also Be Played Without VR

Gemdrops will soon release the first of two Laid-Back Camp -Virtual- titles, Lake Motosu, on multiple platforms digitally worldwide on March 4, 2021. The company confirmed that while both games are primarily designed for VR, they are also completely playable even without any VR device. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

The PlayStation 4 version will support the DualShock 4’s motion sensor, while the Switch version supports the controller’s gyro sensor. Players on a mobile device can experience the game with both portrait and landscape orientations. If the gyro is not working properly, players can also control the game with ordinary controllers.

Gemdrops also shared a new set of screenshots from the first Lake Motosu title. Players will assume Nadeshiko’s point of view in this virtual camping adventure game. As Nadeshiko, you will be able to interact with Rin while eating a hot meal or even take a selfie together. The other title coming in April 2021, Fumoto Campsite, will reverse the roles as players will instead interact with Nadeshiko from Rin’s POV.

Laid-Back Camp -Virtual will be available digitally worldwide on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, Steam, and Oculus Store. The title will consist of two separate games: Lake Motosu coming first on March 4, 2021, and Fumoto Campsite following later in April 2021.
