PlayStation Store Discounts Japan Studio Games Like Bloodborne and Knack

A handful of Japan Studio games are now cheaper than usual on the PlayStation Store. It isn’t an exhaustive sale that covers all titles or many recent release. However, it does include notable games the developer worked on since 2015, like Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, Bloodborne, and Knack. [Thanks, Wario64!]

Here are the links to the Japan Studio games on sale at the PlayStation Store. All of them are available for the PS4.

  • Astro Bot: Rescue Mission: $14.99 (PSVR required)
  • Bloodborne: $12.99
  • Everybody’s Golf: $14.99
  • Everybody’s Golf VR: $9.89 (PSVR required)
  • Knack: $5.99

However, the most recent Japan Studios game isn’t a part of this sale. It worked on the Demon’s Souls PS5 remake with Bluepoint Games. That updated remake is still $69.99 at the moment, as usual. The discounts also don’t extend to some other recent ports the company worked on. For example, it was involved with the PS4 versions of both LocoRoco games, both Patapon games, and PaRappa the Rapper.

These discounts come after news regarding Japan Studio reorganization. While Astro Bot developer Team Asobi  will remain intact, Japan Studio as a whole will go through downsizing. PlayStation Studios will handle things like localization. This will happen on April 1, 2021.
