Sega added new characters, music, and options to Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 in its last free update. The company pledged support for the puzzle game after its launch. Now, more Puyo Puyo characters are back, folks can watch others’ matches, and you can hear additional songs like one from Sonic Generations.
There are four new playable characters. Each one is established and often appeared in past entries. Harpy, Legamunt, Ragnus, and Rozatte are all back. However, people might also know Ragnus as Lagnus. There will also be 20 more avatars.
As for Spectator Mode, it will be available in Free Play and Competitive League. Four people can watch and vote on who will win.
Finally, there are the other miscellaneous additions. Boss Raid has Super Spicy difficulty. There are four more songs too. One is Sonic Generations’ “Escape from the City (Cash Cash RMX).”
Both of the other Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 free updates added more characters and elements. The first updated added Sonic the Hedgehog as a playable character and Boss Raids in January 2021. The second brought more classic Puyo Puyo characters, colorblindness accessibility, and challenge modes.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. It will come to the PC on March 23, 2021. The last Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 free update is immediately available.
