Monster Hunter Rise Japanese Commercials Will Teach You About Hunting

A new series of Monster Hunter Rise commercials have released in Japan. These short commercials feature a short storyline focused on introducing new players to the hunt. Japanese actress Tsubasa Honda takes centerstage and fills the role of the teacher in these semi-absurdist skits. There are currently two commercials available, each elaborating on the unique storyline of these Monster Hunter Rise commercials. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

As mentioned previously, these commercials border on the side of absurdist comedy. The first commercial features Honda walking into a classroom packed with students wielding a longsword. She then shrinks down to stand in front of the Switch and explain the wirebug mechanic to the viewer. You can watch the first commercial below.

The second commercial still retains the same tone as the first and continues the story. However, this time it takes a look at multiplayer. Cutouts of Honda and a family are shown on screen as the four engage in cooperative play. Up to four players will be able to team up to take on monsters, with each player able to take on companion with them. You can watch the second Monster Hunter Rise commercial below.
