Amnesia: Rebirth Adventure Mode Removes Its Scarier Elements

People have a different way to play through the newest Amnesia game. An Amnesia: Rebirth Adventure Mode is here. It basically takes the horror game and removes most of the things that make it scary, while adding some new elements. It’s out now for PCs, and Frictional Games said the PS4’s version of the mode will appear “in the next few weeks.”

Here’s how it will work. The base experience will still be the same and Tasi’s quest won’t change. It will still have otherworldly elements and be a bit of a thriller. However, Frictional Games increased the lighting a bit in all areas, it won’t look or sound as unsettling. (You might not even have to worry about lighting matches.) You won’t have to worry about Tasi dying. There are also new puzzles to solve, though the developer didn’t say where exactly they’ll appear.

Here’s a developer diary discussing Amnesia: Rebirth Adventure Mode. It also shows off some environments in the game on a screen in the background.

Amnesia: Rebirth is available for the PlayStation 4 and PCs, though it isn’t available on Macs. The Amnesia: Rebirth Adventure Mode is out now on PCs and will come to the PS4.
