This beta test will be available to anyone who downloaded the client on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Steam. The only other requirement needed is to have a Capcom ID registered and linked to the game’s platform account.

The previous open beta test was held from April 8, 2021, to April 11, 2021. However, it was disrupted in the middle due to emergency maintenance caused by matchmaking issues. Capcom compensated by establishing a new Twitter account dedicated to Re:Verse maintenance and issues. Capcom also provided an additional beta test from April 14, 2021, to April 16, 2021.

Resident Evil Re:Verse is an online multiplayer game where four to six players fight in a five minute long deathmatch. While players choose an avatar based on characters throughout the series from Jill Valentine to Resident Evil 7‘s Joe Baker, a killed player will respawn as a powerful bioweapon that can target others.

A free copy of Resident Evil Re:Verse will be included in every purchase of Resident Evil Village, which will come to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on May 7, 2021.
