Every platform Spiritfarer is on received a free update that adds a new spirit named Lily to the game. In addition to new story content, Lily’s appearance means that you can travel at night. Previously, Stella needed to temporarily rest and take a break when it got dark. Thunder Lotus announced the update arrived right after the game passed the 500,000 copies sold mark.
To go along with the reveal, there is a new trailer. It does contain some minor spoilers regarding Lily’s identity, as she references how she is connected to Stella when she speaks to her. The video also teases some of the new story segments with the two characters and shows how the update will allow Daffodil to fish alongside Stella.

As a reminder, Lily is one of four new characters who will be heading to Spiritfarer in free updates. Beverly, Daria, and Jackie are also on the way. Beverly will show up next in Summer 2021, while both Daria and Jackie will appear in Fall 2021.
Spiritfarer is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
