A Death Note collaboration event is scheduled to appear in Identity V sometime in Summer 2021. A short teaser video appeared on the official Identity V Japanese Twitter account, which revealed that protagonist (and antagonist) Light Yagami will be involved in some way. The Identity V and Death Note collaboration event will be available for both Japanese and global audiences. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
Additionally, a special promotional website launched for the upcoming crossover event. Players who link their game ID and share information regarding the promotion through it will receive two crossover essences. More information regarding the event will be revealed at a later date.

In the short video released by NetEase, L is teased as part of the collaboration. Additionally, viewers are given a first look at how Light Yagami will appear within the Identity V universe. However, it is fairly short and, as mentioned previously, more information will be revealed in the future.
Identity V is an asymmetrical horror title that pits four players against one mastermind. Players must collaborate to escape from the clutches of the killer in order to achieve victory. In the past, Identity V crossovers appeared for Danganronpa and The Promised Neverland.
Identity V is immediately available for Android and iOS devices. The Death Note and Identity V collaboration event will appear sometime in early Summer 2021.
