Pokemon Bead Cushions Feature Pikachu, Slowpoke, and Piplup

The Pokemon Company will release bead cushions and mascots of Pikachu, Slowpoke, and Piplup on July 1, 2021. They will appear in physical locations starting July 3. The three Pokemon are slightly stylized and much rounder than their in-game or anime counterparts, and they are filled with beads that make them fun to squeeze. Currently, the Pokemon bead cushions will only ship in Japan. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Items available from both online and physical stores include bead cushions for 3,960 JPY ( around $36) each and bead mascots for 1,210 JPY (around $12) each. The bead mascots are charms that you can either hang from your keys or attach to your phone. However, exclusive to the online Pokemon Center is the line-up of big bead cushions. The big bead cushion stands at 50 centimeters tall and is about 45 centimeters in length. It will cost 11,000 JPY.

Slowpoke has received quite a bit of love lately from a merchandise standpoint. The Pokemon Company will also release a life-sized Slowpoke plush. It is 65 centimeters tall and 75 centimeters wide. Pre-orders for the Slowpoke plush are open until June 30, 2021 from the Japanese Pokemon Center Online shop. The Pokemon Center also released its Minna Otsukaresama series of merchandise, which includes items such as a Yamper butt pillow and eye masks.

Bead cushions and mascots of Pikachu, Slowpoke, and Piplup will appear in the online Pokemon Center store from July 1, and they will show up in brick-and-mortar stores from July 3, 2021.
