A veteran voice actor as well as an established singer and songwriter, Nana Mizuki has starred in various high-profile anime over the years, beginning with Shaman King back in 2001. She later voiced Hinata in Naruto, as well as other characters in the Fullmetal Alchemist series. She also appears in Netflix’s Dragon’s Dogma anime. The actress has extensive experience voicing characters in video games, recently voicing Ann Takamaki in Persona 5 Royal and Nagao Kagetora in Fate/Grand Order.

Previously, fellow voice actress and singer Megumi Hayashibara, who had sung the rebooted anime series’ first “Soul Salvation” opening theme, performed all of Shaman King‘s opening themes. Netflix also featured the opening theme in its recent English trailer, as well as the creditless opening and endings uploaded by King Amusement Creative.

In a separate announcement, Mizuki expressed excitement in being able to create a song for a series she has been part of for over two decades. While the song itself has not been revealed, she urges fans to “look forward to its official release” later in the year.

The new second Shaman King opening theme “Get up! Shout!” will release on October 27, 2021.
