The Pokemon bowls will be available for both dine-in and takeaway orders. When purchasing takeaways, the restaurant will provide a Poke Ball-designed bag and takeaway bowl.

Yoshinoya will hold the collaboration in three waves. The first wave will begin on August 27, 2021 and end on September 26, 2021. The first wave figures include Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Riolu, or Eevee. They will be given randomly. The second wave will start on October 1, 2021, and the third one will commence on November 5, 2021.

While the ceramic bowls are generally only available for dine-in orders, there is a way for people in Japan to actually own the bowls. Yoshinoya will hold sweepstakes from August 27 to November 24, 2021. Customers can participate by uploading receipts where one Pokemon meal counts as one point. 1,000 people will be able to win a set of four ceramic bowls, each modeled after the Poke Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master Ball.

This is not Yoshinoya’s first collaboration with Pokemon. The chain previously held the first three waves of a similar collaboration between December 2019 and October 2020. The third wave, held from September 2020 to October 2020 specifically featured Pokemon from the Galar region.

The latest collaboration will focus on Pokemon native to the Sinnoh region to mark the upcoming releases of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on November 19, 2021, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus on January 28, 2022. All aforementioned games will be available on Nintendo Switch.
