Bungo Stray Dogs season 4

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 in Development

The Armed Detective Agency and the Port Mafia will be back for more action, as the official Twitter account for the Bungo Stray Dogs anime announced that season 4 is in development. There is no release window as of yet, but Crunchyroll stated that it will simulcast the series when it does start airing in Japan.

Currently, the only content on the official website is a number of congratulatory messages from people such as Mamoru Miyano (Dazai’s voice actor) and Nobuhiro Arai (character designer and animation director). As season 3 ended with the Cannibalism Arc, season 4 will most likely start from the Cannibalism Aftermath Arc. However, both season 2 and season 3 started with flashback arcs. Therefore, it is hard to say if the first episode will continue directly from season 3.

So far, the main staff and cast for Bungo Stray Dogs remain the same as the previous seasons. Takuya Igarashi will return as the director, while Yoji Enokido is still in charge of series composition. Bones has not yet announced any new characters or voice actors.

Bungo Stray Dogs follows the story of Atsushi Nakajima, an orphan who was on the verge of starvation until he meets Osamu Dazai. At his invitation, he joins the Armed Detective Agency and becomes involved with numerous cases that plague Yokohama. The entire cast of characters are references to various famous authors around the world.

Season 4 of Bungo Stray Dogs is currently in development. It will appear on Crunchyroll when it starts to air in Japan. The manga and light novels for Bungo Stray Dogs are licensed in English by Yen Press.
