Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Trailer Shows Fights

A new trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury is now available online. It is just under a minute long and gives a look at the art style and animation, as well as some of the characters. There is little dialogue in the trailer, focusing mostly on teasing who will show up and how it will look.

The text that appears in both the trailer and the announcement tweet can be translated to “The witch will spur on the Gundam.”

You can watch the trailer here:

Hiroshi Kobayashi (Spriggan) and Ryo Ando (One Punch Man) are on the project as directors. Meanwhile, Naohiro Ogata (Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt) is the producer and Ichiro Okouchi (Devilman Crybaby) is the writer. Takashi Ohmama (Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation) provides the music.

So far, we know two members of the cast. Kana Ichinose (Dr. Stone) will voice protagonist Suletta Mercury. Suletta is the timid pilot of the Gundam Aerial, and she is from Mercury. Lynn (Engage Kiss) will voice Miorine Rembran, who is a beautiful second-year student in management strategy. It seems that this will be the first mainline Mobile Suit Gundam series featuring a female protagonist.

Mobile Suit: Gundam: The Witch from Mercury will come out in October 2022 in Japan.
