Idol Manager Console Releases Soon on PS and Switch

Idol industry business simulator Idol Manager is taking a swing at the console audiences. Playism and developer Glitch Pitch announced that the game is soon to launch on PlayStation consoles and the Nintendo Switch. The Idol Manager release date on consoles is set for August 25, 2022.  The ports’ release will fulfill a promise made during the initial Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in 2018.

Back then, a Switch version was listed as a stretch goal for hitting the $50,000 USD funding milestone. The campaign hit that goal, though development of the game itself took another  three years. Idol Manager entered Steam Early Access in November 2019. The full version released on PC in June 2021.

The Idol Manager console editions will be identical to the current final PC version in terms of content. As in that version, players will take control of a fledgling idol agency. They’ll recruit girls, train them to become idols, and found new idol units. With the aid of their staff and facilities at the agency, the girls will improve their skills and earn fame, fans, and money through their activities. Events like scandals, personality clashes, and narrative-driven crises will also buffet the agency.

Idol Manager launches on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch on August 25, 2022. It’s already available on PC. Check out Siliconera’s review of the initial launch version of the game.
