Project Lumina has announced that (as of September 24, 2022) it has sold over 330,000 copies of Melty Blood: Type Lumina worldwide. This includes sales on all of its platforms. This announcement came a few days before the game’s one-year anniversary on September 30, 2022. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
In commemoration of its first anniversary, it will add ten songs from 2008’s Melty Blood: Actress Again. These remastered tracks will appear for free on September 30, 2022. There is no announcement as of yet in regards to the two DLC characters who will appear in Winter 2022. However, they will be free updates, like the previous ones. According to Type-Moon’s Takashi Takeuchi, one of them will be a “surprising character.”

Melty Blood: Type Lumina is a fighting game that uses the Tsukihime Remake version of characters. The game’s plot takes place within the canon of Tsukihime – A Piece of Blue Glass Moon –. While it plays very similar to the original Melty Blood games, there are also new systems such as Rapid Beat and Moon Drive.
Melty Blood: Type Lumina is available on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.
