Tekken 8 Closed Network Test Announced for July

Bandai Namco announced a closed network test for Tekken 8. This will consist of two sessions. The first session, exclusive to the PS5, will take place between July 21-24, 2023. The second session is for the PS5, PC and Xbox Series X and will take place from July 28, 2023. The announcement trailer also confirmed that Claudio Serafino will be returning for Tekken 8.

The closed network test will allow players to experience the new gameplay of Tekken 8. In addition, it will allow Bandai Namco to test the servers before launch. The test will contain all 16 announced characters and five stages. However In addition to data collected during the test itself, Bandai Namco will be sending a survey out to all participants.

Registration is open now, and will remain so until June 28, 2023. Participation in the event will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

Bandai Namco steadily released information on Tekken 8 over the past few months. Currently, 16 characters have been confirmed for the launch roster. This will include the return of Jun Kazama, whose last canon appearance was in Tekken 2. Other confirmed characters include:

Tekken 8 will release for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC at an unknown date. Registration for the Closed Network Test is open now.
