How to Unlock The Labyrinth of the Ancients in FFXIV

As part of A Realm Reborn, and now included in the Main Scenario Quests, players will need to meet the following requirements to unlock The Labyrinth of the Ancients:

  • Complete “The Ultimate Weapon.”
  • Complete “A Performance for the Ages.”
  • Reach Level 50 with your character.

Since this is the start of the Crystal Tower Alliance Raid series, unlocking The Labyrinth of the Ancients requires a little more work. First, you must complete “The Ultimate Weapon,” which is the final quest in the base game for A Realm Reborn. From there, you will then need to head to Mor Dhona and speak to the Outlandish Man (who looks like Nero tol Scaeva) at X:21.8, Y:8.1 to pick up the quest “Legacy of the Allag.”

After completing these objectives, you must head to X:30.4, Y:12.1 in Mor Dhona and speak to Rammbroes to accept “Sanding it Down” and complete a series of tasks for him that involve some crystals. This part is pretty extensive and kind of lengthy but will unlock the next quest you need. This will give you access to the quest “A Performance for the Ages,” which can be picked up at X:30.4, Y:12.1 in Mor Dhona.

After doing a little more legwork, you can then finally accept the quest Labyrinth of the Ancients from G’raha Tia (who you will see a lot of in Shadowbringers) at X:30.4, Y:12.1 in Mor Dhona. Picking this up will let you jump into the first series of Final Fantasy III-inspired Alliance Raids.
