At Sony’s 2011 E3 media briefing, Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games, announced that a new Bioshock game is in development for Sony’s upcoming PlayStation Vita platform.

Levine didn’t provide any further details on the project, however, or when the game will be released.

Following the announcement, Sony announced that all PlayStation 3 copies of Bioshock: Infinite will include the first Bioshock on the same Blu-ray disc.

Update: System name updated to PlayStation Vita.
