People looking for the Chao Garden experience again will have a sort of option. BillehBawb announced Pocket Chao Garden will be available for Android devices on February 11, 2021. It is a fan-made, virtual pet simulation that is a one-person project, and its page is already live.

As is common for the simulation, players will adopt and care for Chao. They’ll spend in-game money to buy it fruit to level them up and toys to revitalize them. It will also have mini-games, like Chao Bounce, Chao Halfpipe, Chao Tightrope, and Megaton Chao.

Here’s an extended trailer showing how Pocket Chao Garden will look.

The Chao Garden mini-game that appeared in some Sonic the Hedgehog games. For example, Sonic Adventure was the first game to introduce the life simulation. People could even raise their characters outside of the game, via the Visual Memory Unit memory card. It also appeared in multiple Game Boy Advance games, like Sonic Pinball Party.

This fan game isn’t the only Chao-like experience on the way. Balan Wonderworld has an Isle of Tims mode with mascot characters that sounds similar.

Pocket Chao Garden will be available for Android devices on February 11, 2021.
