A Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Trailer Introduces What Vocaloids Are All About

Miku and friends’ 3DS debut will be in Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai. Last night, Nintendo showed a special trailer of the game at their Nintendo Direct presentation. You can watch this below, courtesy of YouTube user, Nintendaan:

Project Mirai is different from the Project Diva series in a few ways. Most obvious is the Nendoroid-inspired art style, but the differences go deeper than that. In Project Mirai, certain songs can be sung by more than a single Vocaloid. For example, “Tricolor Airline” can be sung by Miku, Luka, Rin or Meiko.

Hatsune Miku and Future Friends: Project Mirai is slated for release on March 8th in Japan.
