A History of the Planet Rubicon in Armored Core 6

Before you even jump into Armored Core 6, it’s worth knowing about the events leading into this game. 50 years before the start of your mercenary’s awakening, the planet Rubicon 3 was discovered to have a rich resource for making Armored Cores in Coral.

The battle over Coral and using it to make new mechs led to an unfortunate explosive, which ravaged the entirety of the planet. It rendered the entire solar system unfit for people to live and continue farming the material.

50 years later and things are different for Rubicon 3. Corporations return to the planet to find it still has Coral and in plentiful supply. Once again, it is a race to collect as much of this material as possible. As such, companies have mercenaries do the battling for them.

That is where the player comes in. You awaken as one of the mercenaries, with the codename Raven, with the task of helping your leader, Handler Walter, in securing Coral on the planet. This location is once again the home to countless fires and battles as everyone tries to claim the Coral for themselves.

Rubicon 3 is quite different from its appearance in the past. It is now a barren wasteland with remnants of the buildings and civilizations that once stood there before. Players take missions across the planet and see the fiery solar system in action for themselves in Armored Core 6. Don’t worry if you’ve never played a game in this series before, as this one is a fairly standalone narrative.

Armored Core 6 is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
