Mages (formerly 5pb) have put out a video of Steins;Gate 8-bit, showing off the game’s art style, music and how you use commands to interact with characters:

Steins;Gate 8-bit isn’t a remake of the original game, it’s a spin-off story featuring the same cast. Mages have it pegged for an October 28th release. Before that, however, you can download a trial version here.
