Evo Japan 2026 happened May 1-3, 2026, and we now know every game reveal and DLC announcement that showed up at the event. The biggest quite possibly turned out to be Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina, an updated version of the 2021 fighting game that we’ll see in 2027. However, the event also served as a platform to announce the shadowdrop of World Heroes Perfect for PCs via Steam and new character news for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and Tekken 8

In the case of Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina, we can expect gameplay changes, balance changes, a new Kinoko Nasu story, and new characters. There aren’t details about the full cast or new routes yet. However, the key art shared shows Len. She appeared both past mainline and Melty Blood games. The game will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and PC in 2027, and an official site is open.

Here’s that trailer for the Evo Japan 2026 game announcement:

With World Heroes Perfect, that is out now on Steam for $19.99, though it is temporarily $14.99 until May 8, 2026. While it does include everything from the original game, there are some new additions. There’s a Practice Mode present, a Gallery Mode with concept and official art, and rollback netcode. There are also Steam Achievements and Leaderboards, and remote play is supported.

You can see that launch trailer below.

Speaking of SNK, it also revealed a new DLC character for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Season 2 will include Mr. Karate. Like some other members of the cast, he’s a crossover character. He debuted in Art of Fighting as a boss. We’ll see him in the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC game in May 2026.

There is a first trailer showing him off.

We also know two more of the characters who will be playable in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls when that comes to the PS5 and PC on August 6, 2026. Black Panther and The Incredible Hulk will both be a part of the cast. In the case of the former, it will be the Shuri version of the hero and not T’Challa. Her kingdom of Wakanda will show up as a stage in the title. Both are shown as being affiliated with The Avengers alongside Captain America and Iron Man.

Here’s the trailer for the two of them.

Finally, we got a launch date for Kunimitsu in Tekken 8 at Evo Japan 2026 as part of the game announcements and DLC reveals, but whether or not you own the Season 3 Character Pass determines when you can play as this DLC fighter. If you did buy that, she’ll be available on May 27, 2026. If you didn’t, then you need to wait until June 1, 2026 to buy her piecemeal in the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC game.

You can see her newest trailer below.

The next Evo will be Evo Las Vegas, and that takes place June 26-28, 2026.
