Alvin and the Chipmunks invading consoles?

It might seem like it’s late for Warner Brothers to release an Alvin and the Chipmunks video game since the three high-pitched, singing rodents fell from stardom. However, EB Games has listings up for a Nintendo DS, Wii, Playstation 2 and PC versions of an Alvin and the Chipmunks game in their database. This game probably isn’t going to be based on the 1980’s cartoon, it’s more likely to use the upcoming holiday Alvin and the Chipmunks movie as its source material.

There are no details about what kind of game it’s going to be either, but I shudder at the thought of this being a karaoke game with songs from “Let’s All Sing With the Chipmunks”.
