KORG DS-10, published by Xseed in North America, was a neat little piece of software that emulated the Korg MS-10 synthesizer on the Nintendo DS.
KORG DS-10, developed at Cavia, was produced by Nobuyoshi Sano, who is known best for composing music for Tekken, Ridge Racer, and Drakengard. KORG wasn’t a game in the least — it was a legitimate, full-blown music-creation on the DS. It was later followed up by a DSi-compatible version, KORG DS-10 Plus.
Now, Sano, along with with his own recently-established company, Detune Ltd., is working on the next piece of software in the KORG line for DS. Titled KORG M01, this one is based on the Korg M1 music workstation. It’s scheduled for a December 31st, 2010 release for 5,980 yen.
What about an overseas release? On his Twitter feed, Sano wrote in reply to a follower:
“I’m sorry it is for Japan only now… but we are preparing for international sales.”
