Assassin’s Creed III will be a Wii U launch title, and Nintendo and Ubisoft have shared information on how the Wii U version of the game will make use of the Wii U GamePad. Alex Hutchinson, Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal, points to a map on the Wii U GamePad touch screen that displays your enemies as one of the new features.

Another feature will let you switch between weapons via the touchscreen without having to go into a separate menu. Hutchinson says this will let you switch weapons mid-combat, setting up combos and using a different weapon to dispatch each enemy, should you choose.
