Compile Heart released the latest gameplay footage for their upcoming naval action shooter Azur Lane: Crosswave with a dive into Story Mode, focusing on new characters Shimakaze and Suruga.

The above video is part 1 of the story footage for Azur Lane: Crosswave. In addition to story dialogue, it takes us into battle with Shimakaze (CV: Sayori Hayami) and Suruga (Aya Endo).

In addition to Story Mode, there’s “Episode Mode” that tells side-stories surrounding various shipgirls, with dialogue from all the stories supervised by Yostar. You can check out more on that in our previous report.

Azur Lane: Crosswave releases for the PlayStation 4 in Japan on August 29, 2019.
