Azure Striker Gunvolt has sold over 100,000 units worldwide, Inti Creates have announced. What makes this a particularly proud moment for the studio is that Gunvolt was a project developed, funded, and published entirely by them.

Although Inti Creates say Gunvolt has crossed 100k “worldwide,” that doesn’t include Europe and Australia, where the game has yet to be released. On that subject, though, Inti Creates also announced that a European rating for the game has been secured and that they are proceeding to the final steps required for release.

“Approvals from multiple rating agencies in different countries and localization in 5 different languages adds a lot of time to the process, as you can probably imagine,” Inti Creates write on their blog.

Meanwhile, the studio is also working on Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, although that game is still in its conceptual stage.

Correction: The headline previously referred to Gunvolt 2 instead of the first game. This has been rectified.
