This past weekend, Inti Creates announced that Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 is in development for the Nintendo 3DS. In addition, the studio is also updating the first Gunvolt game and giving it a few added features on the New Nintendo 3DS.

A version 1.2 patch for Azure Striker Gunvolt will be released in Japan on March 11th, Inti Creates said. The patch will speed up loading times for the game, and will also include more songs than the original release.

The patch will also implement control changes—you’ll be able to change weapons quickly using the ZL and ZR buttons on the New Nintendo 3DS. Additionally, Inti Creates are adding a Boss Rush mode to the game, which will feature Lumen’s “Eternal Blue” song as the background music.

We’ll have more details on the Gunvolt update and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 in the future.
