Best Love, Ghostie Character Pairings

Love, Ghostie is a game all about matchmaking, as you’re trying to create character pairings to ensure every lonely person gets a new best friend or partner. There are no limits, and all 12 characters are compatible with one another to some degree. However, I found a few relationships felt more fun or natural than others.

Ami and BEEP0

So the reason I love and recommend seeing the Ami and BEEP0 relationship is because we get to watch a hamster inventor get paired up with a robot! But it’s also a fun storyline about showing care for one another, setting appropriate boundaries, respecting other people’s space, honestly apologizing, and then working together to help each other with things you can’t do yourself. I really appreciated it!

Apollo and Mina

So initially I went with Apollo and Mina because I thought it would be fun to see the tiger and housecat become friends or lovers. Turns out right from the very start, every conversation is very romantically coded. I also lucked into a “Special” date event with the duo right from the start. I love how the two of them embrace every side of each other, and I encourage people to see the two of them together!

Chamel and Noir

So originally, I was pairing up Gerard and Noir. The two had such similar tastes and styles that I thought it could be a fun fit. Go be goth together and such! The two of them, Chamel, and Wobbles were my first residents. But then I sort of hated the Chamel and Noir storyline. So, I tried pairing up Chamel and Noir! 

Turns out, this is a super fun pairing! Noir keeps Chamel from going overboard. Chamel allows Noir to explore and embrace other interests. It’s lovely!

Calathea and Gerard

Remember how I said I paired up Chamel and Noir on a whim? Well, that resulted in my happening upon my absolute favorite pairing in Love, Ghostie, which involved getting the goth character Gerard and grounded plant person Calathea together. This whole storyline has a very friends-to-lovers tone, which is great. Calathea pulls Gerard out of a funk. Plus, there’s a fun Special date interaction you can get with this duo.

Felix and Wobbles

At first I was going to try and set up Sky and Wobbles. I liked the idea of the polar bear and penguin getting together. However… I didn’t care for their storyline together? It’s fine, but… yeah. I wasn’t feeling it! I honestly was just trying to find out what Felix liked when sending the character a gift with three tags, chose Wobbles since she didn’t have anyone, and the Love, Ghostie pairing ended up being super cute! I liked seeing Wobbles help Felix out!
