The NPD Group have released their monthly industry report for September, and it reveals that Electronic Arts published five of the ten best-selling titles in North America during the month, with an assortment of sports games. Topping the chart at the #1 spot was Madden NFL 2013.
Following Madden at #2 was popular co-operative shooter-cum-RPG, Borderlands 2, which Game Informer report sold 1.48 million copies in its first month on shelves. NPD’s Anita Frazier says that’s a 234% increase over launch sales of the original Borderlands.
Meanwhile, Game Informer also mention that New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS sold over 295,000 copies in its second month.
