Capcom announced during the 2026 Tokyo Game Show that Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance will end the need for Character Edit Vouchers and Palico Edit Vouchers to adjust characters. People will be able to freely update both kinds of avatars starting with version 2.0 in 2027. However, before that happens, there will also be free vouchers given to all players and special custom Pendants given to people who paid for those customization passes in the past. Those will start rolling out on December 3, 2026.
Everybody is going to be getting 20 vouchers, basically. That will start on December 3, 2026. We’ll get 10 Character Edit Vouchers for Monster Hunter Wilds and 10 Palico Edit ones. Each one can be used once to change how the player’s Hunter and Felyne companion look. Switch 2 owners will get those at launch. That day is also when Capcom will stop selling all the Character and Palico Edit Voucher single ones and packs, and those add-ons will never be in the eShop.
As for people who did pay for either Character or Palico Edit Vouchers for Monster Hunter Wilds, they will get a Special Thank-You Pendant Set on December 3, 2026. That gives you two cosmetics your Hunter can equip. One is the Beelzeboar Pendant, and the other is the Heavenly Hog Pendant.
Here’s how both of those will look:

This comes after another major TGS 2026 reveal for Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance. Capcom confirmed Teostra is back as an Elder Dragon alongside Lao-Shan Lung. It also spotlighted two new creatures. One is the wyvern Araketa and the other is the Elder Dragon Gundoraja.
The Monster Hunter Wilds Switch 2 release date is December 4, 2026, and the game is already on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Ascendance expansion is also in development, and we’ll see that in 2027. That expansion will also appear on the Switch 2.
