Cave To Release iOS Multiplayer Online RPG Tokyo Therion

In addition to shoot-em-ups and social games, Cave also develop MMOs. Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine, for instance, was originally developed by Cave. While that game was for PCs, Cave’s next online RPG is for the iPhone.

In spring, Cave will launch Tokyo Therion for the iPhone 4, iPod Touch and iPad 2 devices in Japan. The game will be a free-to-play title with a pay-per-item micro-transaction model. Note that Tokyo Therion isn’t an MMORPG; it’s an “MORPG,” which means it’s missing the “massive” component, but is still an online role-playing game.

So far, the only thing we know about Tokyo Therion is that the story involves humanity fighting off demons. You can find the game’s official website here, but there isn’t much to see, aside from the image above at the moment.
