People who have been acquiring the in-game Pokémon GO medals for completing certain in-game achievements will now find additional benefits tied to a few of them. Niantic has revealed the Battle Girl, Fisherman and Jogger outfits tied to the medals of the same name.
In each instance, earning medals from the respective lines will unlock the Battle Girl, Fisherman and Jogger outfit parts to purchase from the avatar clothing shop. As a reminder, the Battle Girl bronze, silver and gold medals come from winning 10, 100 and 1,000 battles. The Fisherman medals come from catching 3, 50 and 300 extra large Magikarp. Jogger medal plateaus are 10km, 100km and 1,000km.
Once you have unlocked an outfit piece, you still have to pay for it. For example, the Battle Girl Gloves are 50 coins, Battle Girls Shoes are 50 coins, Battle Girl Shorts are 200 coins and Battle Girl Tank Top is 220 coins. The outfits are also limited to an avatar’s gender. Though I have earned the fisherman bronze and Jogger bronze and silver medals, none of the outfit parts appear in my female avatar’s shop.
Pokémon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
