It was only a matter of time before Pokémon GO clones started cropping up, but one in China features some rather disturbing versions of many popular Pokémon. [Thanks, The Next Web.]

Developed by Rejected Games: FPS Adventure & Sport SimulationAdventure, the app is called “Pokéball Coach for Pokémon GO” and seems to help players practice their throws to improve their abilities in the real game from Niantic.

Though “Pokéball Coach” eventually did release in late July on the Google Play Store, the game now contains original creature designs as opposed to unnervingly-creepy knock-offs of Pikachu, Snorlax, and others. The very similar-looking Pokéball items were also changed, all probably due to obvious copyright issues.
