Clannad Kickstarter Reaches Funding Goal In A Day

Within the span of a day, the Kickstarter campaign for Sekai Project’s translation of Clannad has reached its funding goal. The Kickstarter is currently well over its goal of $140,000 and still has 58 days to go until it comes to an end.

In an update to the project’s Kickstarter page, Sekai Project also said that they’re looking into using the HD artwork from the PlayStation 3 release of Clannad for the game’s English-language release.

“We’re looking at possibly bringing over the HD assets from the PS3 version, there’s a discussion between multiple parties to happen before we can even guess at how much the stretch goal would be,” the company wrote.

Sekai Project plan to release Clannad complete with its Japanese voice-track, both via Steam as well as in physical form in limited quantities.
