D3 Brings Simple Judo To WiiWare

Tucked away behind a Riz-Zoawd was a single station for @Simple WiiWare games in D3 Publisher’s Tokyo Game Show booth. The first two games, a Breakout clone and a Sudoku puzzle compilation didn’t sound that interesting, but I’m glad I gave the Wii demo station a closer look. The fourth game in the downloadable @Simple series is Judo title. I gave it a try and their game intelligently maps the nunchuck to your player’s left arm and the remote to the right. You swing or shake the nunchuck to grab the computer controlled contender and enter a grappling struggle. The direction where you point the remote determines what kind of throw you do. I wouldn’t say @Simple Series Vol.4: The Judo is groundbreaking, but D3 Publisher is starting to experiment with new styles of WiiWare games which is pretty exciting. I’m looking forward to seeing offbeat games with hosts and zombie shooting Onechanbara spinoffs any day now.
