Dead Rising 2 will be releasing in North America on September 28th (and October 1st in Europe) for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As we’ve reported in the past, however, exclusive to the 360 version is a downloadable prologue chapter titled Case Zero.

Case Zero helps link Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 and essentially serves as a demo with unique content. Experience accumulated in Case Zero can be carried over into the main game as well.

Capcom revealed earlier today that Case Zero will be available on August 31st and will cost 400 Microsoft points.
