Cryptosporidium-137, better known as Crypto, is making a comeback. THQ Nordic has revealed it is reviving Destroy All Humans. The latest entry in the series is going to be a remake of the original game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is being developed by Black Forest Games, the developer behind Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and it will be released in 2020.
The remake will once again follow Crypto as he comes to Earth to try and after a fellow Furon crash landed there. The alien then ends up going across the country, destroying everything. The remake will include a new “Lost Mission of Area 42” mission, according to the Amazon product page.
The first Destroy All Humans remake trailer has also been released.
This is THQ Nordic’s third game announcement this week. The first was a remaster of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The second was Darksiders Genesis, a new installment starring Strife, for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
The original Destroy All Humans first appeared on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2005. The Destroy All Humans remake will appear on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2020.
