Deus Ex: The Fall Announced For iOS Devices [Update]

Deus Ex: The Fall is indeed a new Deus Ex game, but it isn’t for consoles… it’s an iOS title, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix announced this morning. The game takes place in 2027, and has you play as Ben Saxon, a former British mercenary that has been augmented. Here’s an introduction to the game:

Deus Ex: The Fall is a sequel to the Deus Ex: Icarus Effect novel by James Swallow, and picks up where the story of that book ends. Saxon was betrayed in some manner by his own private military employers, the Tyrants, and is seeking the truth behind a drug conspiracy.

 

Deus Ex: The Fall is a first-person game like the previous Deus Ex titles, and includes similar features such as cloaking, hacking, gunplay, takedowns and more.

 

The announcement of Deus Ex: The Fall comes after Square Enix’s recent announcement that the company would develop console-like games for smartphones and tablets.

 

Update: Deus Ex: The Fall will be available this Summer for $6.99/£4.99/5.99€.
