Diablo IV Open Stress Test to Appear in May

Blizzard will provide another opportunity to play Diablo IV ahead of its release through an open stress test in May 2023. It will be held from May 12-14, 2023 and will give players a chance to obtain any rewards they may have missed from the open beta. Additionally, this will give those who missed out on the initial open beta period a chance to dive into Sanctuary. This was announced during an April 20, 2023 developer livestream.

The stress test will allow for players to try out the currently available classes, which include the Necromancer, Druid, Sorcerer, Barbarian, and Rogue. Leading up to the release of the game, Blizzard shared trailers showcasing the strengths and playstyles for each class.

Tthe test will allow full access to Diablo IV‘s Act I, with the level cap being 20. The test period will let players tackle the numerous dungeons found through the first act and try out the skill tree system. Players can also take on the world boss Ashava and obtain the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy for their mount once the game fully releases in early June 2023.

Diablo IV will release on June 6, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC, the open stress test will be from May 12 – May 14, 2023. You can read our impressions from the open beta period here.
