We might learn more about the Kingdom Hearts series and its characters at the Disney D23 event thanks to a panel with Sora and Riku voice actors Haley Joel Osment and David Gallagher. Square Enix and Disney both announced that it will be held at 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET on August 15, 2026 and streamed on YouTube.

This panel wasn’t a secret. This announcement does offer further details and context.. Initially, the official D23 site announced the “Deep Dive into Kingdom Hearts” panel would take place during the event. This confirmation pinned this Kingdom Hearts presentation down, confirmed the Sora voice actor Osment and Riku voice actor Gallagher would be present. A number of other people involved with the actual making of the games are also confirmed guests. Creative Director of Disney Character Voices Renee Johnson and Disney & Pixar Games Division Director Nana Gadd will be present. On the Square Enix side, we’ll see recurring series director and Kingdom Hearts 4 Director Tai Yasue will also be part of it.

We don’t know if Kingdom Hearts 4 information could come up during this panel. We last heard about it during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct. That’s when it was confirmed for the Switch 2 alongside dedicated ports of past games for the systems. It is possible we’ll learn something, given Yasue’s presence and the appearance of both the Sora and Riku voice actors.

The D23 Kingdom Hearts panel will air at 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET on August 15, 2026. Kingdom Hearts 4 is in development for systems like the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
