Former members of Bioshock developer, Irrational Games, and Rock Band developer, Harmonix, have established a new independent studio called Eerie Canal. The studio’s first project is an RPG/RTS hybrid titled Dreadline.

Dreadline is a game where you control a team of monsters that are in possession of a time machine. They hop around through time, visiting human calamities to kill those that are already going to die. Examples mentioned of this are the Titanic tragedy and the Roman city of Popmpeii, which was destroyed during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

Eerie Canal describe Dreadline as a mash-up of Diablo and Freedom Force. You can watch a trailer for the game above. It’s planned for release on PC in Q1 2013.
