El Shaddai Descending To Japan In April

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, in development at Ignition’s Tokyo studio, has a concrete release date: April 28th, 2011. A date hasn’t been announced yet for North America and Europe, but Ignition say one will be, shortly.

For those just getting caught up, El Shaddai is being produced and directed by two ex-Clover studio (Okami, God Hand) members. Masato Kimura, who has worked on special effects for Capcom in the past, is producing the game, while Sawaki Takeyasu, one of the lead character designers on Okami, is directing.
