Etrian Odyssey Untold’s story is loosely based on that of the very first Etrian Odyssey game. As detailed in our past reports, Etrian Odyssey Untold will have two modes. Story mode will have five predetermined characters, each with their own personalities and backstory.

Meanwhile, in Classic mode, you’ll get to create your own party, just like in previous Etrian Odyssey games. Atlus also got anime studio Madhouse—which is owned by their parent company Index—to create the game’s opening video and story cutscenes.
