Another role in Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth’s story is being showcased today. Atlus’ newest trailer goes over the Harbinger. This is one of the four starting classes for the Earthlain race. It is similar to the Dark Hunter and Nightseeker from previous installments, as it is a frontline character that deals damage and causes trouble for enemies with debuffs and status ailments.

A Harbinger is a class that is about making life more difficult for any enemy that opposes you. Miasma Armor is a key skill, as it takes away a character’s HP to increase speed. There are passive skills that take it into effect, like Auto Miasma that casts it when a battle begins and Endless Shroud that lets you use it while debuffing. Having it active when using abilities like Cursed Reap or Temporal Shroud can cause additional damage or inflict a curse. This class can go down a Deathbringer road that focuses on damage and status afflictions or Deathguard route that works on buffs for allies and debuffs for enemies.

Previous Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth class trailers include ones for the Hound, the Dragoon, the Warlock, Fencer, the Masurao. the Botanist, the Pugilist, the Rover, and the Necromancer.

Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth will come to the Nintendo 3DS in North America on October 17, 2017. The European release date has yet to be announced. A demo is now available on the eShop.
