Evangelion 3.0+1.11 Coming to 4K UHD, Blu-ray in October 2023

Evangelion 3.0+1.11 Thrice Upon A Time is coming to 4K UHD and Blu-ray on October 17, 2023 in North America. GKIDS will be releasing a standard edition and collector’s edition of the final installment to the Rebuild of Evangelion film series.

The standard edition of Evangelion 3.0+1.11 will include a 2-disk Blu-ray set with over an hour and a half of bonus features that include EVANGELION:3.0(-46h), EVANGELION:3.0(-120min.), character promotion reels, stage greetings, trailers, TV spots, and more. The standard edition is an exclusive product being released through GKIDS and Amazon.

The collector’s edition of Evangelion 3.0+1.11 will include everything in the standard edition plus a 28-page book, art cards, and a poster featuring the theatrical promotional art all encompassed within a sturdy box. The collector’s edition also includes the 4K UHD version of the film. The collector’s edition of Evangelion 3.0+1.11 is also available exclusively through GKIDS and Amazon.

Evangelion 3.0+1.0 initially released on Amazon Prime in 2021 and later released in theaters and on IMAX screens in October 2022. Evangelion 3.0+1.11 recently released in Japan on Blu-ray on March 8, 2023.

Evangelion 3.0+1.11 Thrice Upon A Time picks up after the events of Evangelion 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo with Shinji struggling to cope with the gruesome death of Kaworu. The film serves as the epic conclusion to the story of Shinji, Asuka, Rei, and Mari as the anti-NERV group Willie tirelessly works to prevent Gendo Ikari and NERV from enacting their Human Instrumentality Project.

Neon Genesis Evangelion initially aired in Japan in 1995. The End of Evangelion served as the film conclusion to Neon Genesis Evangelion and released in theaters in 1997. The Rebuild of Evangelion film series was touted as a soft reboot of Neon Genesis Evangelion, starting with Evangelion 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone in 2007, ten years after the End of Evangelion. Evangelion 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance released in 2009, and Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo released in 2012.

Evangelion 3.0+1.11 Thrice Upon A Time will be on 4K UHD and Blu-ray in North America on October 17, 2023. It is streaming on Amazon.
