Another classic console’s games are going to appear on the Evercade. Evercade Intellivision Collection cartridges are in the works. The first will be, appropriately enough, Intellivision Collection 1. It will show up in Fall 2021 and offer 12 games.
However, Evercade didn’t reveal all of the games that will appear on this first cartridge. Only the first three titles were teased. One is Astrosmash. This is the shooter that’s similar to Space Invaders, only people are shooting meteors and the occasional UFO and protecting them from hitting the Earth. Nightstalker, which places people in a maze and tasks them with avoiding bats, robots, and spiders and getting a gun to defeat their opponents, will be there too. Finally, the third revealed game is Frog Bog, a single or two-player game where you try and help your frog eat the most flies before time runs out.
While there are cartridges with indie games on them, the Evercade offers quite a bit of access to older titles. For example, at the end of 2020 the Atari Lynx Collection 1 and 2 cartridges debuted. There will also be a Codemasters Collection 1 cartridge out in 2021.
