If you’ve ever played any Atelier game, you will know that the biggest hook to the gameplay experience is collecting materials and synthesizing them to create new, extravagant items. Because of this, you may want to spend more time exploring the unique environments and progressing through the main storyline rather than spending hours grinding to a particular level. If that’s the case or you’re stuck on a specific boss, here is a way to quickly level up your team within minutes in Atelier Yumia.

How Do I Level Up Fast in Atelier Yumia?
Atelier Yumia harbours a real-time combat system where you will gain experience after defeating an opponent in the open environment. However, the game is incredibly generous to players, as it allows you to change the difficulty settings without impacting the progress you’ve made so far. This means if you ever find a boss battle a bit tricky, you can alter the difficulty setting to see if the fight becomes more manageable and then change it back later.
But you can also exploit this feature to simplify the fights in the open terrain, gain the necessary experience to level up, and then revert to the difficulty level you wish to play the main campaign in. If you wack the difficulty down to the lowest level, some of the fights can be completed within seconds, and that’s not an exaggeration. This is, by far, the quickest way to level up.

To implement this method, open up the main menu by pressing start and then go into “system”. From here, head into the “options” and enter the game tab. You will then be presented with the difficulty level, which you will want to place on easy. After completing this, save your changes and return to the game.
When Yumia reaches level 20 and level 40, she will gain new moves to use in battle. Reaching these milestones as soon as possible will benefit you, especially if you intend to play it in the highest difficulty setting. Whenever you gain a new team member, they will match the current party level, so there are no consequences in levelling up in the game’s early hours.

The EXP given by the creatures will adjust depending on your overall party level. If you’re in the first few hours of playing Atelier Yumia, we recommend fighting the classic blue puni enemies, as they are simple to defeat but dish out a healthy amount of EXP. The best place to find them is down the stairs by the atelier base or the blue puni habitat. Here is the screenshot of where you can find this location on the map.
If you still have difficulty beating a boss using this technique, you could always consider improving your equipment by heading to the workbench or utilizing items in battle that have an elemental advantage over the opponent.
