The latest trailer for Fate/Extra Record looks at more of the characters we’ll see again in the JRPG and focuses on other Master and Servant rival pairs like Rin with Lancer and Shinji Matou with Rider. It offers peeks at different pairs and, in some cases, even shows some gameplay clips. Because of the nature of things, some of those individuals are based on returning cast from Fate/stay Night.
Since this is a remake and we’ve played the game before, we do know who these pairs are. Initially, the trailer kicks off with the Fate/Extra Record version of Shinji Matou with Rider. After that, we see Alice with Caster. Run Ru, who was originally known as Lil’ Ronnie in the first localization, fights alongside a Lancer like Rin does. Julius B. Harway works alongside an Assassin Servant. Dan Blackmore is the Master of an Archer. Gato Monji is notable as he’s the Master with the Berserker Servant who is a crossover character based on Arcueid Brunestud from Tsukihime. Leonardo B. Harwey comes up after that with a Saber.
Once we hit the 1:30 mark of the video, we start to see more time being devoted to the more notable Fate/Extra Record Master and Servant characters. The first to get that kind of attention is Rani VIII, who is tied to a major Berserker. Her portion is then followed by Rin Tohsaka and Lancer.
